About Us

The Yarrawonga Hotel (formerly known as the Victoria Hotel) was totally renovated in 2009, transforming a tired and weathered old pub into the bright, white, inviting place it is today! A little like the the story of the ugly duckling that became a swan...  we became a Pelican!

Our big pelican signage on the roof is easily identifiable in the main street. Why does our pelican have his mouth open? Because this is where you'll be well fed and watered! We invite you to fill up on our generous meals, and quench your thirst at our bar. We're a social lot in Yarrawonga, so we are proud to be a friendly venue that enjoys seeing friends catch up, strangers meet, and families gather. We even have our own regular 'pirate' who has been known to sit and spin a yarn or two.

We are centrally located in Yarrawonga, at the Lake Mulwala end of the main street. You can walk to New South Wales from here (over the bridge), but we think you'll love it here on the Victorian side! The Yarrawonga-Mulwala region is spectaclar with so much natural beauty to explore and plenty of things to see and do. In fact, the region's Touist Information Centre is just a few doors away along the street, so its easy to find out about whatever is happening.

We are open every day:

Monday - Thursday from 10.00am-11.00pm

Friday and Saturday from 10.00am to 12.00am

Sundays from 11.00am to 10.00pm

"A wonderful bird is the Pelican.

His beak can hold more than his belly can.

He can hold in his beak Enoughood for a week!

But I'll be darned if I know how the hellican?”
